USTA League Tennis
Over 200,000 players nationwide compete in local league play. In the Louisiana District over 8,000 adult and senior tennis players participate each year, with many progressing to district, sectional, and national championships. The competitiveness of USTA League Tennis is a direct result of the NTRP (National Tennis Rating Program). Players enter the program by signing up on TennisLink and filling out a self-rate questionnaire. After a player has played at least two matches in a league season, he or she receives an NTRP computer rating for future USTA League Tennis play.
