New Diversity and Inclusion Committee - Tuesday, December 20, 2016

"The Louisiana Tennis Association is proud to announce our first-ever Diversity and Inclusion Committee, who had their first meeting on Saturday, December 17th, at the City Park / Pepsi Tennis Center in New Orleans.

James W. Baker III has been named as the Committee's chairperson.

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee is dedicated to using tennis as a tool for human growth and development, as well as raising consciousness and awareness, among all people, of tennis in Louisiana.

The Committee is specifically focused on introducing the sport, and supporting the continued participation of the individuals, families, and communities who belong to social and cultural groups that have been traditionally under-represented in tennis.

The D&I Committee will be meeting again in February to discuss strategic partnerships, and community engagement initiatives.
