Junior Ranking Regulation #7 has been
revised regarding defaults and is in effect immediately. The change
in the regulation follows:
All defaults regardless of the reason at any point in the
tournament, including first round "no shows", will result in loss of
credit for that tournament. A player may petition a designated
subcommittee of the Junior Tennis Council for reinstatement of lost
points due to default within 10 days of the tournament. Any player
who defaults due to injury must report the injury at the time of the
default to the tournament director in order to be eligible to
petition for reinstatement of lost points. A form that is
available on the Junior page of the LTA website must accompany
proper documentation from the player to formally request points be
reinstated.
