USTA Team Challenge Baton Rouge - Tuesday, May 16, 2017

This past weekend, Baton Rouge held its first USTA National Level 3 BG 12 Pre-Collegiate Team Challenge! The tournament was held at the Paula Manship YMCA, with Ronnie Walters as the Tournament Director. 12&under players from around the country registered for this event with the top 48 boys and top 48 girls selected. Players were placed by seed onto 8 "collegiate" teams where they would compete against the other respective seeds on the other teams.

Lots of tennis, lots of fun and lots of players from Louisiana! Congrats to all our Louisiana players, especially those from Team TCU, who was crowned the boys champion and Team Florida State, who was crowned the girls champion. (Louisiana players from Team TCU: Kai Reinauer and Eli Crawford and Team Florida State: Emma Grant and Madison Whitley.)
