Meet our New officials Chair

Welcome Denise Loveless-Forrest

If you are a lover of tennis from age 8 to 80 you have probably met Denise Loveless-Forrest.  She genuinely cares about the players in our wonderful game. She knows tennis. She has been on the courts as an accomplished 4.0 player for  years &  has captained many USTA league teams. As a USTA Certified Official and USTA Referee for the past 19 years, she is well versed in every aspect of this endeavor.  She has been a referee (and more times than not, the head ref) for many Junior tournaments, High School and Adult  Local Leagues and State Championships, College (LSU/Tulane) Dual matches, Junior & Senior Local, District, Sectional & National Tournaments all the way up to the Pro Circuit level matches like the Miami Open, City Open, and even our own Grand Slam - The US OPEN!

When I asked her what her favorite part of being an official is she said being on the courts and meeting people of all ages and levels around the country enjoying and competing in the game of tennis.  She loves to watch someone who she refereed at age 10 grow up to achieve success as a collegiate athlete or even make it to the ATP tour.   Everyone likes and respects her in the tennis community.  The LTA would like to thank her for accepting this new role. She will be recruiting new officials so if you see her on or off the courts, watch out.. she may be calling on you to join in the fun.

Officals

Do you enjoy tennis? Do you have sharp vision and the ability to concentrate? Are you interested in giving back  and helping to grow the game of tennis through officiating?

All re-certification classes will be held using an online format.
USTA is no longer training and certifying officials for ITA work, the ITA is handling that directly.

Upcoming 2021 Officials Classes: Coming soon!

Become an Official
