Each month, we will recognize one Louisiana Junior Player of the month! This player represents a balance of athletic achievement, sportsmanship and great citizenship. It is important to remember accomplishments off the court are valued just as much as those achieved on the court!
PLAYER OF THE MONTH: AYDEN BROWN
Ayden Brown is a multi-sport athlete that excels on- and off-court. She dedicates her time and energy consistently into living purposefully in sport, in the community, and in school.
Ayden is a junior at Episcopal School of Acadiana where she plays tennis and runs track. She picked up the game of tennis at 10 years old. As a freshman, Ayden finished 4th in state in tennis and won state in two events in track. The 2021 season looks promising for Ayden as she remains undefeated in the spring tennis season and has the top times in her respective events in track.
Her on-court success is not to be undermined by her resume in school and in the community. Below are some of Ayden's extracurricular activities:
- Co-founder of Do It Greener, a non-profit concerned with environmentally friendly habits and behaviors
- Wonder Woman Club, a group that focuses on empowering young women
- Students to End Prejudices (STEP) Club, a group focused on empowering people that are discriminated against.
Ayden's leadership habits and work ethic are demonstrated in her outstanding success in school. She currently holds a 4.11 GPA and has interests working in public policy, international relations, and public administration.
Ayden is also a trained classical pianist and former competitive gymnast. Success follows Ayden wherever she goes.
