LTA Player of the Month February 2024
Player: Eadan Waters
Division: Girls 14 & Under
City: New Orleans
Eadan Waters, a native of New Orleans, has been a top Louisiana player since she started competing in USTA tournaments. Already in the 10’s division, Eadan claimed the Southern Championships Doubles title and since then has been one of the highly rated players in the Southern section. Currently Eadan is the #1 player in Louisiana on Tennis Recruiting list for her graduating class of 2027. Her tournament schedule is highly challenging, competing against some of the best players in the country. For example, this past summer Eadan has represented Louisiana at the Girls 14’s USTA National Clay Court Championships, as well as the Girls 14’s USTA National Hard Court Championships. Eadan was part of Team Louisiana at the 2022 and 2023 Ozaki Junior Cup, helping the team finish 3rd both years, and claiming the Team Spirit award in 2022. Importantly, Eadan excels both on and off the tennis court. As a straight “A” student, she has high academic aspirations. Her top college preferences include universities such as Harvard, Duke, and Stanford. Her academic schedule does not include just the typical classes; rather, Eadan has dived into honors geometry and Chinese, while taking on the role of ‘classroom illustrator’ and welcoming her fellow classmates with a “drawing of the week” each Monday. A great role-model for her peers, Eadan is an exceptional scholar-athlete and a tennis star to watch in Louisiana.
